Gingerbread 2009
The fifth gingerbread event. The photos are, as with 2009, due to Michael. He really went for it this year; check out these close-ups of the candy:
This gingerbread feast feature a record number of projects, many from first-time builders (at least, first-time to our now five-year-old tradition). John and Meaghan were first time guests; he made a bridge and she made, curiously, a broken and leaking outhouse.
Erik attempted a D20 last year, but it failed to hold together enought to actually roll. This year, he attempts again.
Lana is her usual creative self, this time working under the constraints of a lack of gingerbread after othe projects. She decided upon a working (as in, actually rotating) merry-go-round.
Also working with extra gingerbread, Anne creates a small tower.
Keeping with the theme of religious buildings, I decide to try a Norwegian stave church, based on a photograph from a book Steph brought back from Norway. After the construction, Steph is responsible for all the decoration.
Last, but certainly not least, Beth created a nativity scene.
Some excellent creativity here, as well as fantastic use of marshmallows.
